Currently TV is making a big comeback after the writers strike has ended! I am watching more shows than ever - in fact I got a 2nd HD DVR from Directv just so I can hold all the shows I record - now watching them is another story!

Ahhhh it must be Summer! Damn near close! Because Big Brother is soon coming! I believe it is going to start this July!
Not many details have been revealed but we’ll keep you posted so come back here and also visit TV Robot’s Big Brother page for the latest!
Big Brother 8 will be executive-produced by Emmy Award winner Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan, in association with Endemol U.S.A.
Arnold Shapiro has left Big Brother production, the show will take on yet a newer format.

Well, Lost may be “lost” but at least the mid-season replacement Daybreak is a good show!
So far it has shown us that the same day need not be too similar. Days evolve and change and that has kept the Ground Hog Day type show fresh and interesting.
I wonder where it will end up in the ABC line up - if at all… I hope it does. I am now a fan of Daybreak!

Boy, I just can’t say enough good things about my TIVO DVR!
It’s there when I need it… oops! They are there when I need them! (I have 2).
Seamlessly recording in the background yet so there when I want to sit down and enjoy my favrite television shows!
And you know you just can’t beat the fact that the average 1 hour tv show can be watched in less than 40 minutes in most cases! Speed through those pesky commercials!
And here is one application that TIVO just rocks on! It cuts downn Rock Star Supernova from a bloated 2 hours to 40 minutes! Yes, I’ll record both episodes each week on Tivo and can watch the 2 hours in around 40 minutes.
I mean hey - how cxan anyone take half of those “cover songs” being retreaded again… sure Paula nd the band make them tolerable by playing them in the best possible way, but sorry - if I hear “White Wedding” by a wannabe rock star one more time I will scream!
and that’s where my Tivo and the fast forward make it fin to watch the bloated 2 hours in 40 minutes!
Rock on Tivo! You’re my dream DVR!

24 is back and off to a great start! The two back to back 2 hour shows were excellent!
I wish I were watching this on DVD so I wouldn’t have to wait for the next episodes!
If you haen’t tuned in, you’re missing the best show on tv!
24 on Fox.
On June 14th I wrote about adding a 2nd Tivo with 70 hours. I was only 4 days into owning it so I wasn’t really sure how it would impact my viewing habits, but now 3 months later I can say without doubt it was the best thing I could do!
And guess what - 70 hours IS ENOUGH (considering I have 2 70 hour tivos).
But here is the rub… My old 35 hour Tivo still has programming on it… Alias, The OC, West Wing… about 20 episodes total if I recall… But it’s unplugged sitting on top of the new Tivo…
So here I am stuck with tons of TV… too much TV… There are new shows that take my time like Survivor Guatemala.
So… just wanted to give a thumbs up on spending that $99. to get that new 70 hour Tivo… Now if they could just make it so I had more time to watch what it records…
Man, I hate it! Football on TV! It bothers me…
I mean I don’t mind if you wanna watch it but I don’t want to. My TV is a safe haven…

You can understand the feeling I had when I turned on my TIVO last night to watch Big Brother 6 and instead of the show it was showing the end of a football game… argh!
I was miserable. Pissed. angry. and I started to fast forward hoping by some miracle that the show would just start and the game would be gone but it took 11 inutes till the start of Big Brother 6.
Now, that doesn’t seem like I missed much but since the TIVO recorded 1 hour it meant that I was to miss the final 11 minutes of the show.
If you are familiar with Big Brother 6 that means I was to miss the end which included a battle for HOH - Head of Household.
So sure enough last ight at 1 am while I was waiting for the end as I watched TIVO it cut off the HOH competition.
That meant I had to go to bed and not even know who was in control next week.
Now, this morning I simply went to the CBS site and found out that BOO, the gay boy won HOH.
It gets my goat that CBS scheduled a ball game so close top prime time like that. I’m pissed.
Argh….
