She was born on Nov. 4, 1918, in Slayden, Tenn., and spent much of her life in the Chicago suburb of Hinsdale. She married Vernon H. both Vernon and Martha at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, at St. Johns Episcopal Church
